Alllllright! Happy February Everyone!! Let’s get to work!

Hello everyone!! Happy February! January didn’t go super great, and I plan to step up my game in February! I have so much fun stuff planned. This month I have missed my first two posts, my Temperature Blanket post and my January Big Project post! So lets go over those first!

Temperature Blanket 2025

My temperature blanket is going great actually! That being said though, I have AM behind with the hexagons and I haven’t done any sewing yet lol. I have the hexagons made all the way up to January 26th, and then I took a small break, which turned into a longer break. I will catch up and I will update you when I finish January up!! Keep an eye out on Tiktok and for an ‘out of schedule’ post!

My Big January Post – The GIft Two Years COming!

There is no updated project post for this project because it’s not done yet. It’s actually sitting on the desk right next to me as we speak, and I am going to keep working on it once this post is up! I will be sure to show you the, incredibly large, maybe too big, quilt once it’s done!

This week!!

Okay! Happy February!! Now that everything else is covered, what are we doing this week? Well, I decided that I want to work on those patterns I’ve been blabbering about. I have two big patterns that I plan on working on this week! Now, I am on a couple of Facebook Crochet Groups on my personal account, and there was a post about a pattern someone was looking for with a photo that was unfortunately AI, and the pattern doesn’t currently exist. The other pattern is straight from my brain because it was something I think I may customize and wear sometimes myself.

The AI Cardigan Pattern!

Here is the AI Generated photo of the AI Cardigan.

This cardigan looks like it is going to be so much fun to deconstruct and reverse engineer. I’m so excited to get started on this!! The goal is to offer this pattern in at least 6 sizes, XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL. Naturally, the bigger sizes will have more panels, and they will look a little different, but I’m so excited to get started on this! The overall feel I want for this cardigan is soft and loose. There are a lot of open panels that allow for a lot of airflow! I can see this in a lot of colors too, it just feels so whimsical and I’m so incredibly excited to finish and have this cardigan in my collection.

the Bunny-Ears Beanie Pattern!

I’ve already began work on what I like to call the Bunny-Ears Beanie. The beanie is custom with a ribbed brim and BIG bunny ears. Like reaches to the bottom of my back – I’m 5’7″ (last I checked, I may have shrunk a little, lol). I’m so excited about the customizability of this Bunny-Ear Beanie!! I can see little crochet bows at the base of the ears, or fake placed rips in the ears that would look SO cool!! I’m soooo excited about this idea, and I hope I can do it justice, but so far it’s looking good!! These beanie’s are a little bit harder to do for custom order, but I’m sure I could manage, so I may list it as a product after I finish it up!

Here is a really messy sketch lol (Excuse my horrible hand writing)

Setting rEalistic Goals

I’ve found that I set goals that aren’t exactly realistic. Obviously, I’m not going to finish sketching, concepting, making, prototyping, testing and publishing 6 sizes of that cardigan this week, especially because this is one of my largest wearable patterns I’ve ever made, and it will be one of my first times trying some of these sizes. I’m still super excited about making this pattern though!!

On the other hand, I think the beanie is obtainable, even with me working on a few other things at the same time. Hopefully, I’ll see you back this coming Tuesday with a Bunny Beanie!! Happy February again!
